Liechtenstein’s line of succession to the throne is based upon agnatic primogeniture where only males have succession rights based upon the order of birth.

Prince Hans-Adam II, eldest son of Prince Franz Josef II of Liechtenstein, is the current sovereign of the Principality of Liechtenstein.

  3. HSH Prince Georg of Liechtenstein, born in 1999, Prince Alois’s second son
  4. HSH Prince Nikolaus of Liechtenstein, born in 2000, Prince Alois’s third son
  5. HSH Prince Maximilian of Liechtenstein, born in 1969, Prince Hans-Adam II’s second son
  6. HSH Prince Alfons of Liechtenstein, born in 2001, Prince Maximilian’s only son
  7. HSH Prince Moritz of Liechtenstein, born in 2003, the late Prince Constantin’s oldest son
