The Empress, Queen and Duchess Consort died near Rouen, Normandy. She was firstly buried at the Abbaye Notre-Dame du Bec in Normandy. That abbey was destroyed in 1794. In 1847, her coffin was discovered and reburied at the Cathedral of Notre Dame of Rouen.
