King Harald (1937- ) participated in sailing in the 1960 Rome and 1964 Tokyo Olympics.  He was the flag bearer at the Tokyo Opening Ceremonies.  With his sailing crew, he won the gold medal in the sailing world championships in 1987, the silver medal in 1982, and the bronze medal in 1988.

King Olav V (1903-1991) was an Olympic Gold Medalist.  He won a gold medal in sailing in the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam.

King Oscar II (1829-1907) has had his name and portrait used as a trademark for King Oscar Sardines and bakery products made by Göteborgs Kex AB.

King Carl II Johan (1763-1844), also the king of Sweden, was born Jean Baptiste Jules Bernadotte in Paris.  He became one of the eighteen Marshals of France under Emperor Napoleon.  In 1810, he was elected King of Sweden.
