The Dutch Constitution limits the line of succession to those within 3 degrees of kinship to the Monarch. Therefore, when Willem-Alexander becomes King, his two cousins, currently 10th and 11th, will no longer be in line for the throne.
The current line of succession is:
1. HRH Prince Willem-Alexander, The Prince of Orange, Prince of Orange-Nassau (1967) - eldest son of HM Queen Beatrix
2. HRH Princess Catherina-Amalia of The Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau (2003) - eldest daughter of HRH The Prince of Orange
3. HRH Princess Alexia of The Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau (2005) - second daughter of HRH The Prince of Orange
4. HRH Princess Ariane of The Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau (2007) - youngest daughter of HRH The Prince of Orange
5. HRH Prince Constantijn of The Netherlands, Prince of Orange-Nassau (1969) - third son of HM Queen Beatrix
6. Eloise, Countess of Orange-Nassau (2002) - eldest daughter of Prince Constantijn
7. Claus-Casimir, Count of Orange-Nassau (2004) - son of Prince Constantijn
8. Leonore, Countess of Orange-Nassau (2006) - younger daughter of Prince Constantijn
9. HRH Princess Margriet of The Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau, Princess of Lippe-Biesterfeld (1943) - sister of HM Queen Beatrix
10. HH Prince Maurits of Orange-Nassau van Vollenhoven (1968) - eldest son of Princess Margriet
11. HH Prince Bernhard of Orange-Nassau van Vollenhoven (1969) - second son of Princess Margriet
Several family members have been excluded due to marriage without proper consent. These include HRH Prince Johan Friso, second son of HM Queen Beatrix; HRH Princess Irene and HRH Princess Christina, sisters of the Queen; and HH Prince Pieter-Christiaan and HH Prince Floris, sons of Princess Margriet.
